Quality
Pure colloids. Nothing else in the bottle.
Mineral Colloids exists because of one decision made in 1996: if a mineral product is not a genuine, pure colloid, we will not sell it.
Pure colloids only
No salt, no protein, no stabilizers, no other additives. Our supplement technicians settled on that rule in 1996 and we have not moved from it.
Swiss colloidal technology
Our products are produced using Zulgtal Labs (Switzerland) colloidal minerals technology, whose U.S. West Coast marketing rights we acquired in 2001.
Concentration stated on the label
Every product states its concentration in parts per million — 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 200 ppm, 240 ppm — so you always know exactly what is in the bottle.
100% money-back guarantee
Mineral Colloids offers a 100% money-back guarantee on every product we sell. If it is not right for you, we make it right.
Zulgtal Labs product quality testing summary
The A–E of colloid testing
The five criteria Zulgtal Labs applies to every colloid — and the same visible criteria you can use to judge any product on the shelf.
- A
Concentration
Calibrated in parts per million. Tests are done for both ion concentration and suspended particle concentration. Spectra-graphic analysis determines trace-metal particulates in suspension; ionic silver content can be determined by initial conductivity testing and ultimately by weighing the silver content after evaporating out the water.
- B
Average particle size
Any colloid worth its salt for bio-availability must maintain particulate sizes in the single or perhaps double-digit nanometer (billionth of a meter) range. Zulgtal Labs requires scattered laser light intensity measurements from suspended particles — measurable within nanometers of a single silver atom (2.8 angstroms, or 0.28 nanometers).
- C
Total particulate surface area
The most significant measurement — determined by multiplying the average particle size/area by the particle count per volume of water. A given weight of silver broken into smaller and smaller particles increases the total surface area exposed for absorption and biological reactivity on a cellular level. The strength of a colloid's taste — its “taste cue” — depends on total surface area exposed to the tongue, and is your best evidence of a sufficiently concentrated product. You can't easily fool the tongue.
- D
Agglomeration
As heavier concentrations of particles are placed in suspension, they typically begin sticking together, growing heavier, and finally falling out of solution as a dark agglomeration cloud at the bottom of the bottle. Zulgtal Labs colloidal technology places an extreme repulsive charge — zeta potential — on each particulate, reversing their tendency to agglomerate as concentration increases. For silver, which is photosensitive, light-induced agglomeration is solved with dark bottles, storage out of direct sunlight, and a proprietary non-additive process involving the silver ion cloud.
- E
Shelf life
When concentration, particle size, surface area, and agglomeration are properly managed — and the bottle stays closed and uncontaminated — the shelf life of any pure colloid should be measured in years, not months. Further lab measurements such as turbidity, pH, and magnetic fields matter to a technician controlling the process, but the visible criteria above suffice to eliminate most other products from the running.
No layman possesses the lab facilities for ultimate determination of these technical characteristics — but this summary gives every consumer a visibly detectable criteria that will eliminate most other products from the running.
What "pure colloid" actually means
A colloid is a suspension of tiny elemental particles held in distilled water. Many products sold as "colloidal" are in fact mineral salts, protein-bound compounds, or ionic solutions that have been stabilized with additional ingredients.
Our position, unchanged since our technicians began colloidal mineral research in 1996, is that those additions defeat the purpose. A pure colloid contains the element and the water — and that is the only kind of product we make.
You can see this for yourself. Our Colloid-a-Scope exists so customers can look at what is actually suspended in a bottle rather than take a label's word for it.
